Martin J. Hagan Joins MUS as Partner

Meyer, Unkovic & Scott, a business law firm that serves Fortune 100 companies and individuals, has hired attorney Martin J. Hagan as partner.

Hagan has been serving Private Clients in the areas of estate planning and administration, estate and gift taxation, special needs trusts, elder law, and estate and trust litigation for more than 35 years, bringing his extensive experience to the firm’s private clients. “I’m honored to join the talented group of professionals at Meyer, Unkovic & Scott and to continue the great legacy they have created over the years,” he said.

Hagan is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and the principal author of “Drafting Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania,” a legal textbook published by PBI Press and used by lawyers throughout Pennsylvania.

A graduate of the Notre Dame Law School, Hagan has published articles on estate planning topics in the journal “Trusts & Estates,” and is a frequent speaker on issues dealing with estate and trust planning, durable power of attorney and financial abuse of the elderly.

He is past chair of the Elder Law Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association, and a member of the Probate, Trust and Real Property Sections of both the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
