The award, which was established in 1991, is given to an Academy of Trial Lawyers member for “outstanding and exemplary service” to the judicial system or the legal profession. The award is presented only when the Academy feels it is appropriate to recognize an individual for outstanding career accomplishments and contributions to the legal profession.
The Distinguished Service Award Committee said Dodge was selected to receive the award this year for her “devotion to the cause of justice and the legal profession, and as a friend, mentor and role model for so many trial lawyers.” She was presented with the award at the Academy’s 29th Annual Masters of Trial Advocacy Retreat Dinner on Thursday, October 5th.
Dodge serves as managing partner of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott. She is an experienced trial lawyer and focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, oil and gas disputes and employment-related matters. She has tried lawsuits to verdict in both state and federal courts and represents clients in domestic and international arbitrations.
Dodge is a Pittsburgh native who resides in Thornburg with her husband and fellow lawyer, Howard Schulberg.
