Anne T. Newcomer

Types of cases Anne has worked on through her career are complex commercial litigation, trade secret claims, construction litigation, toxic tort defense, real estate title insurance claims, insurance defense, nursing home defense, and personal injury defense. Anne has routine contact with client representatives, vendors, opposing counsel, and experts.  Anne has extensive skills and experience drafting pleadings and discovery requests and responses, conducting factual and investigative research, handling all aspects of document productions, creating exhibits, preparing deposition, hearing and trial binders, and assisting at hearings and trial.  Anne’s trial experience includes coordinating and running all courtroom technology, including sitting in the “hot seat” (running trial presentations and exhibits before the jury).

Anne is very active with the Pittsburgh Paralegal Association and has been a member since 2000. From 2012 to 2022, Anne served on the Board of Directors in various positions, including NFPA Primary Delegate, NFPA Secondary Delegate, and Director.  In 2021 and 2022, Anne was nominated and elected to the officer position of Treasurer. Anne is active in the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (“NFPA”) and previously served as the Case Law Review Co-Coordinator and a member of the Case Law Review Committee.  Anne was elected the NFPA Director of Marketing at the 2022 Annual Convention and Policy Meeting in Cleveland, Ohio.

Anne grew up in Hanover, Pennsylvania, and moved to Pittsburgh in 1999. She lives in Brighton Heights with her husband and two dogs. Anne enjoys running, hiking, gardening, and home renovations.
