Pittsburgh, PA – May 15, 2024 –Meyer, Unkovic & Scott is pleased to announce that Joseph A. Carroll has been named as a ‘Lawyer on the Fast Track’ as part of the 2024 Pennsylvania Legal Awards. The Legal Intelligencer’s Lawyers on the Fast Track award recognizes lawyers in Pennsylvania and Delaware under the age of 40 as the “next generation of legal leaders” for their professional, personal, and civic excellence. A small number of winners are chosen by the Legal Intelligencer’s external judging panel out of hundreds of submissions. The award will be presented on May 15 in Philadelphia.
Joe focuses his practice on commercial disputes in both state and federal court, and has experience in a wide array of civil litigation matters, including breach of contract, negligence, other tort matters, employment law, residential and commercial real estate litigation, opening or striking confessed judgements, and construction litigation. He handles insurance coverage matters and has frequently dealt with service animal and emotional support animal issues.
Joe served as a summer law clerk for President Judge D. Gregory Geary and Judge Scott Bittner of the Somerset County Court of Common Pleas. Following law school, Joe served as a federal law clerk for Judge Kim R. Gibson of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
