Jason Mettley focuses his practice on employee benefits. His work involves the representation of multiemployer and governmental plan sponsors. Jason handles matters dealing with plan design, drafting, and compliance with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other laws applicable to employee benefit plans.
Jason grew up in York County. Jason lives in Pittsburgh and represents multiemployer plans throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. A former college baseball player and lover of the sport, he is a Kansas City Royals fan.
- Advising multiemployer plan clients on all facets of plan compliance and administration, recent legislative action including COVID-19 relief legislation, the SECURE ACT, and MPRA.
- Representing clients in matters before the Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service, including audits, examinations, and applications.
- Representing employee benefit plans in ERISA litigation, including interpleader actions to resolve beneficiary disputes and actions to enforce subrogation liens.
