MUS Immigration Partner Joel Pfeffer Interviewed on TechVibe Radio

Meyer, Unkovic & Scott’s Immigration Partner Joel Pfeffer was recently interviewed on the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s weekly TechVibe Radio broadcast (1020 KDKA). He discussed a number of immigration topics currently impacting foreign workers within the technology industry, and the long path to citizenship for students and highly-skilled professionals that frequently includes three steps:

  1. Optional Practical Training – for students;
  2. H1B Visas – for skilled workers; and
  3. Green Cards – eventual permanent residence status.

He also outlined what he believes are the five main issues that need to be addressed by Congress if it considers comprehensive immigration reform, and where he would like to see changes that would benefit the technology industry.
