Meyer, Unkovic & Scott’s Dennis Unkovic has organized and will present “Emerging China: The Growing Economic Power in Asia” at the Association of Corporate Counsel’s (ACC) Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 23 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. The conference represents the world’s largest annual gathering of in-house lawyers.

Unkovic, along with a panel of three leading international in-house counsel, will describe how the rapidly rising economic influence of China will affect their companies and the global economy. They will also discuss how China’s role throughout Asia and the world as an economic powerhouse will increase greatly over the next five years, sparked by the United States’ withdrawal from the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP).

Unkovic is a corporate lawyer with significant international M&A experience. He negotiates complex commercial transactions, such as international mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, and joint ventures. He handles a substantial number of inbound and outbound direct foreign investment projects.  Unkovic works for both U.S. companies and foreign entities with their international activities and investments.  He also serves as an arbitrator in significant international arbitration proceedings.

Unkovic has traveled to 64 countries over the last 35 years, with significant involvement in transactions in China, India, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and throughout Europe.
