Meyer, Unkovic & Scott Real Estate attorneys Grant Scott and Andrea Geraghty were pleased to host Ray Gastil, Director, City of Pittsburgh Department of City Planning and Maura Kennedy, Director of Permits, Licenses and Inspections City of Pittsburgh at the April 2017 REAL Professionals Pittsburgh Mastermind Meeting.  They discussed how the City of Pittsburgh is making great strides in updating processes, technology and policies guiding planning, permitting and licensing for real estate projects.  Attendees also heard reports on the increase in plan reviews from 2011 to this year, which has resulted in the department’s staff increase to deliver better turnaround time.  The disparate levels of service have been standardized. The department now takes 15 days – and wants to improve that.
