Daniel is Chair of the Private Client Services Practice Group. Mr. Gallagher advises families, family offices, and business owners on all aspects of maintaining and transferring wealth.
He also has substantial experience handling business and financial transactions, including merger and acquisition work for companies of all sizes.
Dan is a Pittsburgh native who resides in Fox Chapel Borough with his wife, Eileen, and their dog. They also have two adult sons.
- Develop lifetime and testamentary plans for the protection and transfer of family assets.
- Serve as fiduciary (executor, trustee, or attorney-in-fact) as requested by clients.
- Assist with estate settlements, trust administrations and terminations, and winding up other fiduciary accounts – including international and multinational matters.
- Represent beneficiaries of estates, trusts, and other fiduciary accounts.
- Serve as general counsel to closely held businesses from creation through sale or other liquidity events.
- Develop family investment partnerships and other vehicles for joint ownership or use of assets.
- Serve as director of companies.
- Advise on sales and charitable contributions of collections, unique property, closely held business interests (including minority interests), and other assets.
- Serve as counsel to non-profit organizations and private foundations.
- Counsel individuals in their roles as directors/trustees of non-profit organizations and foundations.
- Work with clients to transfer assets including business and investment assets into family trusts and other entities.
