Marcy Hamilton is a commercial real estate lawyer with 25 year of experience helping businesses and investors navigate the complexities of real estate transactions. Marcy’s goal when working with clients is to understand their business, the goals they are focused on, and advise of any obstacles she feels the client may encounter and how best to solve them.
Prior to attending law school Marcy worked in the real estate industry, with experience that included appraising and mortgage lending. She has also previously held a real estate sales license in West Virginia as well as a provisional real estate appraisal license in Maryland.
- Represented a national REIT in retail leasing for shopping centers throughout the country, including leases with an international discount supermarket chain
- Handled all aspects of retail leasing for a developer and manager of retail and food and beverage concessions at various U.S. airports.
- Counseled a New York-based developer in retail leasing for multiple shopping centers in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
- Advised numerous tenants in office leases throughout the country, including for leased space in the Willis Tower in Chicago, IL.
- Guided numerous landlords in office leases throughout the country
- Represented a local university in acquiring multiple parcels of real estate in Pittsburgh in furtherance of the university’s campus extension plans.
- Negotiated a build-to-suit lease for a regional health care system
- Advised the owner of a Class “A” office building in downtown Pittsburgh in a sale to a national REIT.
- Counseled an international owner and generator of renewable power projects in connection with the development of several wind farm projects in Pennsylvania.
- Represented a global supplier of tooling, engineering components and advanced materials in the sale of multiple parcels of real estate
