Toby Marchionno-Adams has been employed as a Paralegal with the law firm of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP since 1998. Toby is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group and is the Chief Paralegal in charge. In this capacity, she has responsibility for administration of the intellectual property docket for the firm’s Intellectual Property Group and also coordinates communications with foreign associates, as well as clients as to filing deadlines, office actions and other matters relating to prosecution, litigation (as applicable) and business matters, including licensing and assignments. In addition, she has gained many years’ experience in all aspects of litigation, including work in both the federal and state court systems. Some aspects of Toby’s litigation position include trial preparation, assisting at trials, drafting pleadings and reviewing documents.
Toby earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University in 1994 and went on to obtain a Paralegal Certificate with a specialty in Civil Litigation from Duquesne University Paralegal Institute in 1999. Toby has spent her entire career in the legal industry and provides over 25 years’ experience.
Toby is a former member of the Pittsburgh Paralegal Association and served on the Board of Directors. In addition, she served as a Board member for the Duquesne University Paralegal Institutes’ Advisory Board for many years. She is a former Pennsylvania Certified Paralegal and an Associate Member of the Allegheny County Bar Association. Toby has also volunteered for many years as a witness in the annual Academy of Trial Lawyers Mock Trial Competition held by the Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Toby enjoys international travel, sports and spending quality time with her family.
